This natural chalk stream river is the perfect place in which to dip your toes. Walk along the bank with your bike and find a secluded spot to see a kingfisher or a trout. Just beneath the Priory, this spot is perfect for a quiet picnic or reflective moment.

A half day trip or on the way back from further afield, stunning walled garden is 'treasure trove for plant lovers', as described on their website. Situated in the grounds of High House, the esteemed artist Antony Gormley's austere residence, a visit to the Apple Cafe is a must for homemade cakes and delicious coffee.
Another delightful destination in a village famous for its duck ponds and lovely village green. This pub has gone from strength to strength with its own wood fired pizza oven, garden and many atmospheric areas in which to eat their seasonal and local fare. They even sell their own gin-the mucky duck!
Down a secluded track, this church is at the edge of the stunning ornamental Narford Lake.
